Ancient Forest Rally - March 29, 2008
Over 1300 people attended BC's largest environmental protest in 15 years (since the 1993 Clayoquot protests), the "1000 Strong for Ancient Forests" rally in Victoria. The ralliers called on the BC government to protect the remaining old-growth forests of the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island and to ban raw log exports. After the speeches, the ralliers joined hands and circled the Legislature more than two times around.
