The "Stop the 'Working Forest' Rally" was a great success, with 300 people participating, great costumes inspired by the Ent tree creatures from the Lord of the Rings, and many great speakers. Speakers included Ken Wu and Joe Foy of the WCWC, Betty Krawczyk of Women in the Woods, Ken James of the Youbou TimberLess Society, Saul Arbess of the Council of Canadians, Joy MacPhail of the NDP, Alistair Craighead of the Green Party of BC, and a statement from Chief Stewart Phillip of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs. THANK YOU everyone for coming out - it is the people of BC who will stop this atrocity from being pushed through. The fight goes on.
