Coastal Oil Rally in Vancouver a Great Success!
Thanks to the 10000 people who signed and circulated our petition and the two dozen people who came to the Gift-Giving Ceremony at federal Minister of Industry David Emerson's office in Vancouver on Wednesday.
BC Green Party leader Adriane Carr, the NDP candidate Ian Waddel (former BC Minister of Environment), United Fishers and Allied Workers Union representative David Lane, and the WCWC's Ken Wu spoke, while 10000 signatures were handed in a gift box to the Minister's office afterwards. The event garnered significant media coverage from the CBC Radio, Fairchild TV, Sing Tao Daily News, and 24 Hours News. Thanks to WCWC intern Jen Mackay for all her organizing to make the event a success!
